The political corner

In the old days, the fishermen gathered here to discuss and try solving different issues – local as well as national and international. Even if non-political topics were on the agenda, the place was called the political corner. The name is still used by the local population. During seven years at the end of the 19th century, two inhabitants of Hällevik built about one hundred fishing boats here.
